11AM: Congress candidate K.Bharathi won the election by a majority of 7173 votes. Second place goes to Acchhennaidu of TDP.

Duvvada srinivas of PRP lost the deposit. (he in 3rd place with 17,858 votes)

Loksatta got 1277 votes (lost deposit too)

total votes in tekkali assembly: 1,78,346

polled votes: 1,33,041 (76%)

out of 13 rounds, TDP has shown leading in round 5,10,11 (3 rounds). Congress lead in 10 rounds (with the help of PRP )

Before the elections TDP tried to pull Duvvada into TDP so that the votes against the government will not split. But the Great Chiranjeevi is still thinking that PRP would win this election. now you see the result. the opposition votes are 70,000 where as the winner got 59,250. Wake up, chiranjeevi.. wake up. Like parakala Prabhakar said yours is a wrong party and wrong entry too.

10.15AM: congress majority went down in 11th round, now it is 6700 compared to 8600 after the round 10.

tekkali assembly (MLA seat) by-election results will come today around 11Am India time. This by-election is due to the sudden death of the MLA from Congress Mr.K.Revathi pathy's sudden death. There are more chances that PRP candidate Duvvada Srinivas may lose his own votes because of the Rail Engine symbol which has been alloted to Nakka Bhaskar Rao (Independent).
